The breeze was whipping at Snow, but he didn't let it show. He was cold, but the thought of finally claiming a Pokemon, was to much to get cold over. A friend, someone to fight with. He was pretty much running his fastest. While his legs screamed, his heart sang like a bird in the morning. As he neared the building that he had called before he made his trip, was gleaming in perfect, well...scientific look. Everything was shining with perfect fixture. While the doors opened for Snow, he jumped in and looked around. His brow was sweating, the light picking up the light's glow. His eyes darted, looking for someone that would work here. He was slightly impatient, and that wasn't like him. Surprised, yet not caring, he let his voice rang into the building. "Anyone in here?" Not realizing his voice was shaky, he didn't want to call out again. He just waited, jumping up and down, hoping to get some service.

Inside the lab Professor Elm decided it would be best to clean his office. The last child he had come in hadn't really seemed to like the dirty quarters and truth be told... neither did he. So, putting aside his scientific work he started to clean his office. Working first with the part people would see... the main lab. He cleaned off dust from the table, various books on the floor, and last he found 5 pokeballs and a pokedex and sat them on the table in the corner of the room. Just in case another trainer showed up. Finally he was done, the room looked rather nice now... all he had to clean now was his office. Then he realized, that was the worst room in the whole building.
"Anyone in here?"
He was relieved at the sound of a young voice. Now he could procrastinate on his office. Turning, he looked at the young boy who seemed to be... jumping up and down... Deciding to ignore it he walked forward. "Hello there, young man, I do believe that I'm here physically if not mentally. My name is Professor Elm. And you are?" He asked looking at the boy.

Tense already, a voice from behind Snow made him jump. But when he turned on his heel and looked at the professor, he smiled, his lips shaking a bit. It was easy to see him fumble, and the way his hands were sweating. What if they wouldn't let him have a Pokemon? Was rejection normal? Leaving his thoughts alone, Snow sighed, letting out all the pressure built up in his chest.
"I'm Snow. I came here for a Pokemon?" He was thinking about the Pokemon he might want, but the fact was that he might not even get the one he wanted. thinking of all the great Pokemon he could get instead, he smiled as he thought of the awesome powers that they could all get, becoming strong, and winning battles. He was getting to excited, but this was the first step that his father had pushed him out on, an adventure that was just starting.

Elm could easily see that Snow was nervous so he gave him a carefree smile. "No need to worry, Mr. Snow, I don't bite." He said with a small laugh. He couldn't really know why the boy was nervous... maybe it was the anticipation of getting a new pokemon or it could be some different reason altogether... Who new?
He beckoned for the boy to follow him as he headed back towards a shelf that contained many different pokeballs, minus one that had been given away earlier. "Now, I certainly hope you came here for a pokemon because if you did... you came to the right spot. Now do you know which pokemon that you'd like?" He asked. Not that there was any rush, the boy could take all day if he'd like.

This man knew exactly what he came for, and I guess they all did. A nervous young boy looking for adventure. Snow suddenly wondered if any jerks came in here, wanting everything, and not really caring if anyone else got a Pokemon. He was worrying to much, and cut his thoughts like a steaming knife to butter.
"I was looking up some Pokemon on the computer and saw a picture of a Chikorita. Do you have any of them?" A silent prayer was in his head, but he just hoped that they wouldn't make him choose again. His mother told him to go to bed the night before, because he was up late, making sure that tomorrow he would get a Pokemon that was perfect for him, and the computer assisted him in his quest. "If not...that's cool too." He let slight disappointment slip into his tone, hoping that the professor would get one, even if they didn't have any in stock. But Snow wasn't the whinny type. But today he was just surprising himself all over.

Hmm, a chikorita? He looked at the shelf and spotted an empty place. He was a little bit surprised... Hadn't he had a chikorita before? He put his hand in the spot and searched... where was it!? In all his years this had never happened! He looked at the boy apologetically. "I'm sorry... but it seems that... we're... out of them..." That was so odd... He could have sworn that he hadn't given both of them away. He had had the female left... he was sure of it...
He was about to tell Snow that there were other good pokemon in stock when something caught his eye. On the table in the far room... half concealed by the pokedex was a pokeball sitting slightly away from the other five. It had to be the chikorita! He must have accidentally knocked it off the shelf when he was cleaning and put it with other new trainer things. Follow me." He told Snow. The professor walked over and grabbed the pokeball off the table. He was sure of it... this was the pokeball that contained the female chikorita. "Here you are. A female chickorita. Please take good care of her." He said handing him the pokeball. "And sorry if I gave you a scare earlier."[

Weights were dropped on his heat when Snow heard the words. Were all out. A shattering moment, but he was going to move on. As he was thinking about yelling another name into the blue, he say that the professor was walking away, telling him to follow. When he saw the Pokemon, is jumped, out of joy, glad he wasn't seen by anyone else.
He took ahold of the Pokeball, and weighted it in his hand, and then took the pokedex. He looked at the professor and smiled, teeth clattering. "You didn't scare me. And this Pokemon will never leave my sight! He could almost feel tears coming to his eyes, but he swallowed, hard, trying to look away. He turned, finally leaving, waving while he left the building. "Thank you!"
