Pat,pat, pat. Kelis was now in a hurry knowing all the good Pokemon would be gone. And her mind was set on a certain fiery Pokemon who's attitude would make even the most stubborn trainer cry out in frustration. As she stopped in front of a building, her dratini began to rub her face to calm its' trainers nerves. The trainer cracked a small smile before patting the top of the dratini's head. She was actually surprised she managed to befriend such a rare Pokemon, usually they would freak her out with all the slime and shedding. Shuddering a bit she stared down at her companion. Smiling more she bursted out saying,"The newcomer and you will probably compete to be my favorite!" Smirking she saw the snake-like Pokemon face expression change. It looked shocked and slid down her body to question what she said. But the trainer only giggled and tossed her short blonde hair and continued. Walking into the office with the sluggish Pokemon she called out,"YO!I'm here for a charmander!" With an eager spirit she tapped her foot and crossed her arms in happiness. Feeling something crawl up her leg she rook out a pokeball and simply stated,"For right now, get in your ball." The dratini she quickly named Lucky, disappeared in a flash of light with some sort of metallic whimpering. Of course she didn't hear Lucky's' pleas to not go in.

It had been a rather long, arduous morning. There had been many a trainer who had come for a starter pokemon, and the professor had needed a break. So, as a result, it was his poor assistant who happened to be there when she burst in. He was stuck there, staring for a moment in shock, then he simply smiled, holding back a chuckle.
Well, then, come over here, miss. We may have a couple left.
He replied, turning to the shelves of pokeballs, which were at least half empty, and finding the nearly empty section which contained two more pokeballs; One male, one female. He picked them both off the shelf and turned back to her.
Your lucky day. Which gender would you like?

Her eyes darted from right to left. If she got a female, then there was a chance it could be VERY modest and sometimes miss attacks out of fear. Then again, if it got feisty it could be worse than two gyarados' in fishing season. If she got a male then it could be territorial and try to start fights with her other Pokemon. Her mind instantly chose the male option. "Male! Totally!" That annoying smile was plastered on her face again as she ran up to the man and held her hand open like he was to obey her and put the pokeball in her hand. Her left hand began to fish around in her bag looking for the pokeball to Lucky. Once finding it she pushed the button to enlarge the pokeball and threw it on the ground as a green Dratini materialized to the side of her. Once he looked up at the man looking for the pokeball it instantly slithered up its' trainers leg and hid behind her head. "Don't be a wuss! Your about to meet one of your team mates'." Smiling she gently picked up the Dratini and placed it in her hand knowing it would instantly wrap itself onto her arm to keep from falling.

He handed her the ball which contained the male charmander, putting the female back on the shelf at the same time. Once she had taken her pokemon and his hands were free, he knelt to rummage around in the lower shelves, fishing out a small bag, containing a pokedex and five pokeballs to start any trainer with. He stood again, brushing his knees off before turning back to the girl and handing the bag to her as well.
That should get you started well. Now, did you have any questions?
He asked, eying the dratini a bit, mostly due to its strange color. Not that he hadn't seen odd colored pokemon before, of course, but that didn't stop him from looking.

Nope! Grabbing the bag with an irritating smile she threw down the pokeball and out emerged her beloved. Air pumping she yelled out an energetic,YESSS! and then grabbed the charmander by the hand and exited out of the building as fast as she could while waving goodbye to the man who helped her. Speeding out of the room she enjoyed seeing the perplexed kind of face she received upon hugging the fire pokemon.
